WIC 1 ADSL Interface cable

Dear Pros,

Please help to solve the following .

I purchased the cisco 3825 with WIC 1 ADSL Card as internet router. I need to know the RJ11 cable pin configuration in both end. I tried one given by ISP that have the both end pin 3,4 crossed but no success giving "atm0/0/0 down line protocol down" when issuing the show interface atm0/0/0/ cmd. I tied with defferent pin configuration of the RJ11 cable.

Please help to get raid of this problem.

Thanks in advance

swamy

Re: WIC 1 ADSL Interface cable

Check below for the pin assignment :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2641/products_module_installation_guide_chapter09186a008007cb65.html

It should use normal RJ-11 tel. line and works. Please check below for the config guide tha you can find in Cisco web.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps221/prod_configuration_guide09186a00800993f1.html

And below is the restriction, please clarify did you hit it.

The Cisco ADSL WAN interface cards do not support dual latency, ADSL2, or ADSL2plus. When the ADSL link is intended to support both voice and data traffic simultaneously, the link should be configured for either all fast-path data or all interleave data, with an interleave depth of zero to ensure that latency is minimized. In addition, the total supported data rate must be reduced to adjust for the reduced coding gain, which is usually present with high-latency traffic.

Hope this helps.
