WIC-1ENET and 1750 Processor revision

Hi together,

the WIC-1ENET documentation tells me:

The MPC 860 microprocessor (revision B5 or later) is required for using the Cisco WIC-1ENET card.

This processor has been applied to all Cisco 1700 series routers shipped after November 21, 1999.

The "show version" output of my routers tell me:

cisco 1750 (MPC860) processor (revision 0x501) with 24576K/8192K bytes of memory.

Processor board ID JAD04010XMI (3800373186), with hardware revision 0000

M860 processor: part number 0, mask 32

or

cisco 1750 (MPC860T) processor (revision 0x502) with 29492K/3276K bytes of memory.

Processor board ID JAD03447975 (2945099126), with hardware revision 0000

MPC860T processor: part number 0, mask 32

Do these routers support the WIC-1ENET or not? Where can I see wether the processor has hardware revision B5 or higher (or not)?

Thanks

uhabbe

If you have purchased the Cisco 1750 router recently this should support the WIC-1ENET.

The release note of Cisco 1700 Series Routers for Cisco IOS Release 12.2(2)XQ has thsi information.

Check the following URL.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122relnt/1700/1700xq/rn1700xq.htm#158674

According to your show version this will support the hardware WIC-1ENET

The problem is that I don't know exactly when the routers were purchased. They belong to a new customer of us.

Assuming that the format of the processor board serial number is the same as the format of the router serial, the routers were manufactured in 1999 and 2000. The cisco documentation says that the WIC-1ENET is supported with processor revision B5, and one should check using the show ver command. My problem now is to decide wether the routers support the WIC-1ENET card before the customer buys it.
