WIC-4ESW card problem...

I have Cisco 1760 router with Cisco IOS 12.3(2)XC2 (proper version for wic-4esw) and one WIC-4ESW installed.The Router does properly recogniza card and even allows to configure it, but when I issue command - NO SHUT - on any of card's interfaces, card stops responding and I get info message:

%ESWMOD-3-NOT_RESPONDING: Ethernet Switch Module is not re

sponding

and it lasts until I reload the router.

What could be a reason for it??

P.S All the external LEDs are OK.

I think the problem is with ESWMOD hardware failure. Because as you said whenever you are trying to activate the card through "no shut" command, it's giving that error message. After reloading the router means your prev configuration of "no shut" command is not saved, that means after reloading the card is being brought to shutdown and so no error message.
