WIC2T on 2691

I have just set up a 2691 running IOS 12.2(8)T5. I have two T1 serials coming in on a WIC 2T with PPP multilinking configured with our ISP. When I run a show interface on the serials, the bandwidth is reported as 2048 Kbits for each T1. My engineer at my ISP says that this is the bandwidth for an E1 not a T1. Our connections work fine, but for monitoring purposes I would like the correct bandwidth to be reported. Any ideas?

Re: WIC2T on 2691

the bandwidth statement is only a descriptive statement

you can set it by doing a 'bandwidth 1500000 ' on the interface

Re: WIC2T on 2691

The number entered after the bandwidth statement is also used by OSPF and EIGRP for metric calculations. Be sure that you understand how changing this is going to affect the traffic flows in your network.
