Will Catalyst 6000 fabric enabled 6500 series cards (e.g. WS-X6516-GBIC) work with a Supervisor 1A?
I am almost certain that they will, but I cannot find definative documentation that 65xx fabric-enabled modules will work with a Supervisor 1A (in a 6509 chassis). I presume they will and will only interface with the 32Gbps bus. I am aware to use the 256GBps fabric channel we need Sup2 and SFM/SFM2.

You are correct. like 6548 and any other 6516 cards can work with the sup1a as they have the connection to both the classic data bus and the switch fabric module. And you are looking for 32Gbps in this case.
