Window systems using routers DHCP, getting same IP address.

My remote offices have Cisco 1720 routers and the workstations (Windows 98 systems) connect and grab an IP address from the router.

The lease is for one day and I can see the worksations getting new leases but they always receive the same IP address.

For security reasons I would like the worksations to lease a new IP address.

Can this be done from the IOS on the router ?

Is this a Microsoft probelm ?

The MS Workstations, cache the first leased ip address, and always tries to acquire that ip address only.

When a client starts up again after having a DHCP assigned address it wil request the same address from the DHCP. If the server has not assigned the requested address to another client the requester will keep the same IP address.
