WINS

We have two sites with the pdc on this site and bdc on the other site. Both sites have wins installed.

The problem is, since transfering the wins server on this site to another physical server (different IP Address), clients on this side (Site A) are not able to browse clients on the other side through my network places. However clients on the other side (Site B) can see clients on Site A via my network places.

Running two cisco 1603R routers between the two sites.

WINS has been installed with the default settings. Replication does occur, with push and pull partners set on both sides.

Clients on Site A point to the new wins server's ip address.

Clients on Site B remain as they are (Point to Site B wins server)

Do I have a wins issue or is it the routing?

Re: WINS

To rule out a routing issue see if you can ping everywhere in your network by IP address. If pings by IP addresses work across the subnets you probably don't have a routing issue.
