Wireless as redundant link

Hi,

I am planning to setup a network like below:

LAN - R1 ------PPP Link------ R2 - LAN

| |

W1 --------------------------W2

R1 for router1

R2 for router2

W1 for wireless1

W2 for wireless2

My aim is to provide a failover. The PPP link as the primary link and wireless as the backup. The interface at R1 between W1 and R1 is an ethernet port.

1. Is this diagram possible?

2. What type of configuration will i need at both routers.

3. Can i use HSRP?

4. Is it possible to configure failover? How?

If you have any suggestions i will gladly appreciate it.

Thanks,

ARvin

Re: Wireless as redundant link

Hi,

Sorry my diagram is not understandable.

W1 is connected to R1 and W2 is connected to LAN.

Thanks,

ARvin
