Hi,

The 3550 12G has gbic slots. the 12T has 10/100/1000 ports

cheers

Colin

so u mean i've to buy ws-g5484 ?

cheer u

don't think i am dull or anything ,coz it's my first cisco project :)

If you have a 3550-12G and want all 12 ports to be copper ports, you'll need 10 WS-G5484.

If you have 3550-12T, you'll need 2 WS-G5484 to have all copper ports

WS-X3550-12G comes with 10 GBIC-based Gigabit Ethernet slots and 2 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T ports.

WS-X3550-12T is the other way. It comes with 10 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T ports and 2 GBIC-based Gigabit Ethernet slots.
