WS-X6148A-GE-45AF MODULE DUPLEX ISSUE.

Hi,

We are having 7912 Ip Phones connected to WS-X6148A-GE-45AF modules in 6500 switch.

If we leave the Port duplex and speed to auto or force it to 100 full in switch side we are getting lot of runts and undersize errors.

Due to this voice quality of the phones are really bad.

Moreover if we enter sh cdp nei 9/43 det command where the phone is connected we are getting the below information .

We are not getting the Duplex:unknown error in the ports where 7960 phones are connected.

But in the ports where 7960 are connected we are geting duplex mismatch errorlogs.

We can force the duplex setting in 7960 phone but there is no option available for forcing the setting in 7912G Phones.

Please let me know if you have any resolutions for this problem.

can you try setting 100/Full and 100/Auto on the

switch side and check for the results ??

i did search the datasheets of both 7960 and 7912 for the duplex setting but could get only about the speed settings..

I did try setting to 100/full and 100/auto

but no go.

we thought of upgrading the catos to 8.5(3) from 8.4(4) in one of the swithch.
