I have a server (alpha 4100 with tcp/ip,vms) that use ethernet connect to DEC MULTISwitch 900 of central office.A Simense server with a x.25 adapter of Remote office use X.25 connect to DEC MULTISwitch 900 routeabout central EW of central office.It can work.I plan to replace DEC MULTISwitch 900 routeabout central EW with a cisco 3620 router(with enterprise plus software 12.1 later) .How i should do?And plese tell me the detail of cmns protocol

There is not much to CMNS; essentially it extends X25 across a LAN:

However, another solution which you may want to consider is protocol translation; the 3600 would translate X25 packets into TCP (and vice versa).
