xot backup

hi,

my question:

i have several branchrouter, which hast a x25-device connected.

since my branchrouter is connected to a tcp-ip cloud i use xot to transport the x25 call

over the tcp-ip cloud.

i have 2 xot-gateways in my core - primary and backup.

the xot-peer of the branchrouter is a hsrp-adr. where the two xot-gateways hear (the primary has

a higer hsrp-prio, so it takes all the xot traffic.

if the primary fails, the backup takes care of the x25-connection.

since this x25 connection is sna over qllc, the connection to my mainframe is broken,

it is inactive.

but my branchrouter thinks everything is ok because hsrp takes over in a few seconds.

so the enddevice will never try to built up a new connection - so the device will never

get aktive on my host - of course if i clear the x25 connection - and it calls again, everything

is ok over the backup xot gateway.

i know that i could do this with xot-backup peers - but is there an other solution ??

thanks !
