xot-backuproute

hi,

i configured two x25 routes withe the same x25 destinationadr. over two different xot tunnels (dest ip-adr.).

if the first xot-peer is not reachable (the router is down, ..) it takes 30 seconds

that my router tries the second route (the backup-path)

these 30 sec. are to long for my x25 device.

is there a possibility to configure the time that the router waits before it tries

the second xot route ???

thanks

Re: xot-backuproute

Depending on the version of IOS you are using, you may want to try specific timers on the routes to detect when the TCP connection is down for a specific XOT route.

This link may help:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fwan_r/x25cmds/wrfx253.htm#1028560

Older versions such as 11.2 had hidden commands that , if not used, can cause some strange issues when a TCP connection goes down. The syntax on the web page is incorrect:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/133/X25-faq.html#13

service tcp-keepalives-in

service tcp-keepalives-out

x25 xot-confirm-svc-reset

xot-keepalive
