XOT over a VPN

I have a point-to-point IPSec connection using pre-shared keys between two sites. I also need to pass X25 traffic over the same connection using XOT.

My question is , can this X25 traffic pass over the VPN tunnel, or can I only pass this in clear as un-encrypted traffic alongside the encrypted tunnel.

I am using IPSec 3DES and sha-1 authentication.

Havn't tried it but looks like theoretically you should be able to do that. You are going to be using TCP to carry your X.25 packets. Ports 1998 tcp/udp, used for XOT, would just be another application over your tunnel.

Presumeably, I can pin it right down to TCP port level using an extended access-list?
