1603 router

I just found another 1603 router in our store room, its was used in the past, i have no idea what the ip settings for it are or the password ..... how do i connect to this router so i can configure it ?

Connect a console cable to the router (Console port), and then connect the other end of the cable to your PC's com port.

Then in HyperTerminal (Under Windows, try minicom if linux), create a new connection with the following settings ->

Bits per Second - 9600

Data Bits - 8

Parity - None

Stop Bits - 1

Flow Control - None

Then hit enter, and you should be presented with your routers prompt.
