1800 router vpn behind pix

newbie question:

what basic steps have to be taken to us a 1800 router to fire a vpn behind a pix 515e? Is it simply allowing access on the PIX?

You need to make sure that UDP ports 500 and 4500 are allowed through the Pix to the 1800 Router, and the other way around.

Thank you. Does the fw then have to have a NAT for the router? In other words, the fw gives the router a public address?
