We are currently looking at going away from our frame relay service and going to the IPVPN service. I'm also looking at replacing my routers at the regional offices and was thinking of using the 2600 series router with a IPsec WIC card and using the the IOS with the Firewall Security. Making it a "all in one" solution at the regional offices. Some of the vendors that I have been talking to would rather have me put a PIX firewall in instead of using the 2600 IOS with Firewall Security.
Is the IOS with Firewall Security in the 2600 good enough? If it is not why? Would you use a 2600 router or put a 1700 router and then put PIX after the router? Any other options?
