2950 port security

Hi,

I am looking at a way to prevent users on a certain VLAN from "talking" to each other. I wanted to use protected ports, but this is limited to only ports on the same switch.

I tried to use Access Control lists and only permit the server that I wanted the port to talk to.

However, when I use ACLs it seems to block talking to everything including 10.9.3.5.

Standard IP access list pupil

permit 10.9.3.5

Any ideas

Thanks

Take a look at the following document for the configuration details of the ACL.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat2950/1216ea2b/scg/swgacl.htm#xtocid5

Port security is used to restrict usage of a port to a given set of users. More details in the link given below.
