3002 with PPPOE

I would like to use a 3002 HW client to connect to my network. My ISP uses PPPOE. Cisco states,

"On the Public Interface screen, make sure that you have an IP addresses configured. If your service provider has given you a Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) over Ethernet (PPPoE)-based digital subscriber line (DSL) connection, make sure that you have the right user name and password for the PPPoE authentication."

My ISP does not offer static IP address. Can I use dynamic addressing on my public interface with PPPOE?

Re: 3002 with PPPOE

Yes. You can.

Instead of config the static ip address, just check" DHCP Client" in the public interface configuraton.

Make sure you put right username, password to pass PPPoE authentication, then you should get a dynamic ip address from your ISP.

Best Regards,
