3005 to NT domain

We have the 3005 operational and can securely connect from a client, however we can not see the NT domains on the private side of the concentrator. I assume we missed a small step.

What have we missed?

Re: 3005 to NT domain

You have to use a WINS server for Net Bios resolution. Point your remote clients at that WINS server on the LAN and it should work fine.

Re: 3005 to NT domain

Looking at the previous reply, I had much better luck with DNS (internal, not internet) than WINS, particularly on 95/98/ME; the WINS database is far too sluggish for an intermittent connection.

One more thing if the client uses a DHCP to obtain an ip address set the local workstation TCP/IP properties to point to the WINS / DNS on your local network. That's how I use it.
