I really dont think this is possible.. if you are going to recover the password with the stack, once the switch comes up, the config (passwords also) will be synchronised back by the master... thats the issue..
so you have to power down whole stack and perform password recovery on single switch,
then bring the other switches back into the stack so that the configuration will

I was trying to avoid powering all IP phones down in a 4 switch stack. I thought maybe if you separated a switch, recovered the password, then rejoined the switch to the stack, it would be possible to keep power to all phones except for this switch, while recovering the enable secret password.
