506 more than one site-to-site tunnels.

When I try to add a second VPN tunnel to a different location it "breaks" the first one. This is only after I add my Crypto Map commands for the second one. After the first tunnel stops working I start to do a series of no crypto commands to cancel them out to get the first one working again the Pix locks up and has to be power cycled. Any suggestions? Can a Pix 506 not have more than one VPN tunnel?

Thaks in advance.

Shawn.

Re: 506 more than one site-to-site tunnels.

Hi Shawn,

Do a "sh ver" and under licensed features, you will find out how many "IKE peers" you can have.

Remember that when adding crypto maps, you can have only 1 per interface. You need to keep the crypto map name the same as the one already applied. You can change the priority / sequence number of the crypto map to something else.

Look at the hub PIX configuration in this example to get a better understanding of the process in this configuration example.
