I have a PIX 506E that is two years old, and it is always very hot to the touch. The fans appear to be operating correctly, and the ventilation holes are not obstructed. Also, there is no equipment above or below the firewall that might cause this excess heat to be generated. Has anyone else ever had this problem? The unit is not covered under SmartNet, and I will be forced to replace it if it fails because of the excess heat.
