802.1x Docking Stations

When I undock a laptop from an authenticated port the port returns to unauthorized as it should. but when I redock the laptop the switchport still says unauthorized and the laptop has full access to the network. Any ideas?

I have read this and still am not seeing anything related to my issue. When the Laptop is powered up it goes thru the proper 802.1x routine and gets authenticated. But once the laptop undocks and then redocks the port stays unauthorized but the user is able to access the network.
