According to the Certification Authority Interoperability Commands reference for the command router config# crypto key generate rsa:
"This command is not saved in the router configuration; however, the keys generated by this command are saved in the private configuration in NVRAM (which is never displayed to the user or backed up to another device). "
I'm running ios 12.2(11)YV1 and every time I reload the router the key is gone.
1. Does this mean that the key must be re-created manually each time from the console or a telnet session?
2. Will this command, complete with all arguments, run correctly if placed in the startup-config file?
