Access through VPN from home

Hi

I have a laptop that uses The Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 4.0.2 (D) to remotely connect to the sites network. This works from my office, from an internet cafe, and from a friends hame broadband connection.

My own broadband connection does not work though. The VPN connects ok, but I have no connectivity to anything. This happens at the office, until I restart the laptop with the network connection plugged in. I think it is something to do with the IP address, but am not very network savvy, but desperately want to be able to connect from home.

Could you point me in the right direction of what to check, like firewalls or something.

Thanks in advance

PS I am using Windows XP if that helps

Is it possible that you are using a firewall (Windows firewall for XP or some other firewall) and have it configured to allow packets from these other locations but not from your home location?
