ACL with DNS

We have a standard access list that permit's only 2 servers to access SNMP information on our switches and routers. I wanted to add my laptop as a permitted entry to this list. However my IP changes quite a bit and I was wondering if there was a way to use just a hostname where the switch will query a dns server to resolve my computer name when I try to access the switch using SNMP? IS this possible? When I use access-list 5 permit hostname it just resolves it right away. Thank you in advance.

Why you don't reserve one of those IP address you get in the DHCP?

You only need to specify the mac address and relate it with the IP address.

Your laptop will always get the same IP address.

This is more easy that you want.

I hope this help (please rate it if it does)
