hello,
am i right in saying that;
1. active/active in asa's means 2 asas running 2 contexts, with 1 being active in one context and the other will be active in the other context.
2. in a 2 asa5520 running actice/active, is it possible that the outside inbterfaces will have same ip addresses?
this is because i have 2 asa but we only have one perimeter router.
thanks for any help.

if you have 2 contexts and they share the same interface then they have to have different ip addresses.

Hi,
Yes it can be achieved. Outside interfaces can have same ip in both the devices.

so if this same ip address (2 contexts) is connected to a single router, then arent we are violating something?
