Hi,
A have an ASA5520, which was running with the image: asa704-4-k8.bin and the ADSM: asdm504-2.bin
I upgraded the image in 7.0.5, and the ADSM in 5.0.5
The ASA boots correctly with this new version 7.0.5, but still boot with the ADSM asdm504-2.bin and not the asdm505.bin
In the configuration, I have the next boot variable:
boot system disk0:/asa705-k8.bin
boot system disk0:/asdm505.bin
So, I'd like to know why the ASA 5520 doesn't accept the ADSM file at boot.
P.S: the ADSM file size in the flash is: 5823304

You dont want to have the boot system command reference the asdm .bin file. the correct command for the asdm file is:
asdm image disk0:/
Make sure you remove the boot system command the references the asdm file. you only want to boot to the asa704.bin file.

Hello,
Take a look at you config and ensure that you have deleted the old boot system command
you may still have this entry: boot system disk0:/asdm504-2.bin
If you do not have that entry then try erasing the actual asdm504-2.bin from disk0: (after backing up all relevant confiurations that is)
Give it a try and tell me what you come up with
Thanks,
Chris
