I tried to get a 3DES/AES license through Cisco website to my 2 PIXes 515. When I finish to fill the form, I get an email informing that both PIXes are failover bundles.
I cannot upgrade them in this situation because I'll have 2 failover units connected each other.
What exactly is happening? Is there a solution to this problem? Why Cisco website is informing me my both PIXes are failover equipments? I tried to open a TAC case using the web tool, but it complains saying that my equipments are outside of a warranty coverage, however this license (3DES/AES) is totally free, so, I wouldn't have to worry about it, right?
can you please see the "show version" in these pixes and see if they have a Restricted / Unrestricted or a Failover license ? this is the best way to identify the licenses incorporated.... once u see this, u can send a mail to email@example.com if you have any other queries regarding licenses.
hope this helps.. all the best.. rate replies if found useful..
