Adding TACACS on a new router, already have an existing TACACS environment. I add the TACACS statements, quit the console session I get the 'press return to get started' message. I press return and the screen rolls up and displays again 'press return to get started'. When I scroll up, I see 'authentication failed' when i've entered nothing.... Don't know why.

You may have locked the console /login access accidentaly..Try to telnet to the router and see if that works..Otherwise, you need to do password recovery located at

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/474/index.shtml

and after that start entering those commands again carefully..Thx..Tejal

Thanks for the response but I just found the problem. I looked at the AAA server and saw that I had a key mismatch. Even though the keys entered on the router and the aaa server, there was some unprintable character or something going on. Anyway, all is well and thanks again.
