any other easier way to edit the config file?

Hi,

We are migrating to a new T1 and I have to change all the external IP address in my port rules. Is there a syntax command in PIX that I can use to do a massive replace of only the network address (the first 3 octets) of the external IP? The host of the IP will stay the same.

Thank,

Tom

Hi,

I always paste the config into notepad then use the replace feature under the serach tab.

Hope that helps.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply. So I guess there's no replace command in the PIX firewall syntax just like the one in Notepad. If anyone has any better suggestions of ideas, feel free to tell me.

Tom
