ARP ACL (Dynamic Arp Inspection) scalability and hardware support

Hello everyone,

One of our customers wants to implement Dynamic Arp Inspection in a non-DHCP environment. They have a Cisco 7600 router with Sup32. To implement this feature, they would need to create several ARP ACLs to statically define the IP-to-MAC bindings (since there is no DHCP / DHCP snooping). This ACLs, added together, should have a total about 10000 permit statements (there are a bunch of layer 2 trunks aggregated by the 7600, about 200 VLANs with a total of about 10000 users).

My question is: is this feature supported in hardware by the 7600? And if not, what would be the impact of this configuration regarding the overall performance?

Thanks!
