ASA 5510 and 4-Port GE SSM

Forum Readers,

First, I understand that to have vlans on a 5510, you have to create subinterfaces and assign a vlan to each subinterface.

With the 4-Port GE SSM though, is it possible to assign more than one port to the same vlan? I would want to do this so I can have the ASA connect to two switches for redundancy. A peer ASA would do the exact same thing.

I dont think its possible to configure the same vlan under two different interface. In order to provide physical link redundancy, you can use the "Link Redundancy Feature" which was introduced in 8.0 code and higher. More information in the below URL:
