ASA 5520 Flash Size

Not sure if this is the right forum...I have two identical ASA 5520's that were purchased at the same time. I use them in an active/passive failover. This week I noticed that the displayed flash size on the active one was 64 MB and the flash size on the passive one was 256 MB. Is there a reason that the active one would have lowered the flash size if it needed more of the memory for other things? Both have 512 of RAM. I checked the Cisco spec sheet for the 5520 and it lists 64 MB of flash as default. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jeff

Flash is never used instead of RAM, so you really have one unit with 64 and one with 256 (unless you put in a compact flash card of your own and were looking at that instead of the builtin flash).

I guess you just were lucky to get a free upgrade.

Show version will show you what size of flash is installed.
