ASA 5520 Local CA and IPSEC VPN 4.8 client

Hey all! Thanks in advance for your attention to this one. I simply needed to know whether the local CA cert on the ASA could be used to authenticate the IPSEC VPN client, v4.8. The documentation states that enrollment must occur via a web browser, but it does not mention anything about utilization with v4.8. I've been having difficulties getting this to function.

Thanks!

Grant

Make sure no other VPN clients are installed. There could also be a personal firewall software running in the background on the PC.

This is the only VPN client on the system, and all personal firewalls have been turned off. Do you know if it is possible for the client to authenticate using the local CA cert on the ASA?

Thanks!

I know that can be done, but I am with the same problem.. I cannot login on browser to download and install the certificate on client's desktop.

Did you solve your problem grobinson23?

No. We gave up with this tactic.
