ASA correct mounting brackets

Has anyone has any problems with the mounting brackets that they send with the ASA? I have a 5520 with one of those T looking bracets. When you install the devices facing the front, the part where it looks like a T extend beyond the device and doesn't flush mount. It works fine if you instal the device with the back facing forward. I wonder if I got the wrong bracket, or if that's the way they are sent nowadays.

thanks.

maybe it's for fastening the power cord to so nobody trips and pulls it out.

i don't know either though.

The T bracket accommodates a grounding lug. It also allows a place to plug in an ESD wrist strap when working on the unit.

Hope that helps.

I see what you guys are saying. It just doen't look good in a rack with that thing sticking out. Thanks for your responses anyways.
