ASA CX feature license for ASA 5500-X failover unit & PRSM

Hi All,

I am trying to setup ASA 5545-x in active/standby for high availability with CX feature enabled. Here are the questions.

1. Do I need to get two identical AVC & WSE licenses for each devices?

2. Do i need to PRSM license to manage the two devices?

1. Yes.

2. On-box PRSM (one per appliance) is included with the CX. The downside of using just that is every change has to be made twice and be exactly the same. The upside is there's no (additional) cost.  If you want to manage both CX configurations with a single PRSM instance then you need to purchase and setup the separate (off-box) PRSM.
