Hi everyone,
I'm having an odd problem with setting up CIFS in the ASA WebVPN. It works fine with a windows share but not with a samba share. Attached are debug logs from the asa on multiple fronts:
debug aaa authentication enabled at level 1
debug ntdomain enabled at level 255
debug ldap enabled at level 255
debug webvpn cifs enabled at level 255
Attached are the logs which are one from the successful browsing of a windows share and the failure of the samba share.
The thing that sticks out the most is: smb_maperr32 : no direct map for 32 bit server error (0xc0000033) in the samba session logs.
Thanks for your help!! I'd really like to finish removing windows from the network :)

This is caused due to some incompatibilities between jcifs.
ie., the java implementation of CIFS.
Did you check unicode strings instead?.
Also these problems will be rectified in the next release of the ASA software .ie.,7.3

When does 7.3 come out. I am looking to get into my samba shares via the webvpn and don't want to use windows...
