ASA WebVPN Problem

Hello Cisco,

i have successfuly installed an ASA with SSL VPN Client (SVC) and the WebVPN feature. I have at this time two URL Servers integrated.

The first entry is:

url-list Interne-Server "OWA" http://192.168.X.X/exchange 1

The second entry is:

url-list Interne-Server "Zeiterfassung" http://192.168.X.X/scripts/mtweb2.dll

If i logged in on my WebVPN site i can use the the first entry, and i see my OWA frontend.

But the second entry doesn`t work. If i click on it, i get the HTML code in my Browser.

I think it has to do with the content rewrite by the asa.

Can someone tell me how to disable the content rewrite, or have somebody other ideas to solve this problem?

Best Regards

Ralf Pellenz

Use the rewrite command with the disable option in webvpn mode to specify applications and resources to access outside a WebVPN tunnel. You can use the rewrite command multiple times. The order number of rules is important because the security appliance searches rewrite rules by order number, starting with the lowest, and applies the first rule that matches.

Thx for your answer aghaznavi,

can you show me an example. I searched on cico but i can`t find an example to this.

Hello stlieser,

It's been a while since you stated this problem. Did you manage to disable content rewrite on the ASA for specific sites? We have the same problem, putting an URL in the rule doesn't seem to work.

Please noted SVC and WebVPN are individual things. In WebVPN, all network accesses are controlled by the browser session. While for SVC, you can run anything if it is in full-tunnel mode.
