Async Interface Vs NAS Ports:

Hi,

We have an AS5800 access server and 7206 router; Which I need know how to map async interface with nas ports, as our AAA server authentication is based on nas ports.

Per say, async interface 1/2/00 to 1/2/143 should me mapped as nas ports. Is there any general formula for AS5800 to map as nas ports as in 3600 series routers. Our IOS version is c5800-k8p4-mz.122-7b.bin.

Thanks,

Let me make my doubt more clear does tty numbers of an async interface and nas ports are identical. An earliest reply would help.

Re: Async Interface Vs NAS Ports:

The "sh line" command should show you the respective TTY ports.

If you have issues, just turn on debug aaa authorization on the 5800 and see how the port appears or look in the AAA Server logs as Glenn mentioned in the other post.
