authentication on catalyst 4000

are there authentication/accounting systems to control the connections on the ethernet ports of a catalyst 4006?

You can configure switch access using AAA. See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat4000/rel6_2/config/authent.htm#1019819 That’s all the AAA you can do on the switch.
