Backing up Pix image file

I need to backup the image file of a Pix firewall.

Copy command only allows upgrading image files (copy tftp flash). I would like to backup the image file of my pix to a tftp server. How can i do it?

Thanks a lot

You can't. Download another copy from CCO and store it for safe keeping and before you do an upgrade.

Thanks!!!

And do you know if it would be possible to use the image from a Pix with a router 2620/21 XM. I dont want full functionality, just experiments!!

Re: Backing up Pix image file

No. Images are platform specific because they are hardware specific. The image from a 2621 can't even be used on a 2611. It's sort of like asking if the driver for the 3coM ethernet card on a server can be used for the Intel ethernet card.
