Hello,
I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. A linux consultant friend of mine has some PIX work he needs done. My experience is in routing and switching but, I would love to get some exposure to PIX.
I was asked if I could:
"install it, set up a DMZ"
I feel comfortable enough with the concepts of PIX firewalls but need to read a guide on how to set them up and establish a DMZ.
Would someone be kind enough to point me to a book or webpage that would help me to read about what I would need to do?
Thank You!

Have you tried the Cisco Quick Learning Module on the Cisco PIX/ASA page?

There are couple of good whitepapers that might help you:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/prod_configuration_examples_list.html
A good book that covers PIX/ASA and FWSM:
Cisco ASA and PIX Firewall Handbook
ISBN 1-58705-158-3

Here's a simple document that should help you to activate/configure PIX firewall without going into advanced features.
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_61/config/bafwcfg.htm
Hope that helps.
