Block a specific URL with Acess Lists

Is it possible to block a specific URL using Access lists, or do you have to use the IP?

TIA,

Alexi

Re: Block a specific URL with Acess Lists

Hi Alexi,

yes you can do it with IOS Routers similar like blocking the "Code Red Worm". Look at http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/63/nbar_acl_codered.shtml#acl

Modify the class-map to your needs, build a policy-map and handle matching policies in the access-list.

URL blocking on a pix is possible only in conjunction with a websense server running. For information look at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_62/cmdref/tz.htm#xtocid5
