Hi everyone.

Do any of you have any experience with blocking certain http conten based on the mime type?

We would like to block streaming audio and video which is transfered via HTTP.

This should be possible by specifying the different mime-type to be blocked by the new "Application Inspection Engine" in the 7.1 (7.0).

But i cant find where to or how to select / type in / configure the mime-types i want to block.

Here's a url wich show some types of mime-types:

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2046.txt

Hope you can help.

Best Regards

The engine can either drop or permit non rfc mime .

Mime type can only be done on asa 5500 with either ssm or csc module.
