I run a security scanner against routers on my network. Some of the router came back with "cfingerd util-c buffer overflow" . How does it affect routers
The security bulletins do not list the Cisco IOS as a vulnerable for the cfingerd util.c buffer overflow.
The safe things would be to turn the fingerd service off the router
no service fingerd
