Bug CSCdz71127 - stopping all IOS devices

Hi,

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/707/cisco-sa-20030717-blocked.shtml

As this Bug was announced today I would like to ask some questions regarding the provided workaround:

Can I configure an ACL with all well-known protocols set to permit and a deny ip any any at the last line?

What does the IPv4 packet look like that is described in that Bug?

Thanks a lot Markus

Re: Bug CSCdz71127 - stopping all IOS devices

The advisory has been updated recently.

The updated advisory includes answers to your questions.

The ACL mentioned initially in the advisory has been modified from the initial suggested workaround to include suggestions for specific denies of certain IP protocols and a permit ip any any at the end.

Please refer to the same link above for further details.
