i need to implement some kind of reorganization in our customer network. The customer actually is a bank, and the security is the most important goal to achieve. At the second place stays the network model which should be implemented.
So can you please recommend me some good design principles in this situation? Some kind of book or presentation which explain s why should we use at least two layer network model (access and core), how the DMZ should be structured created and secured ,where the LAN network take it's place and sort of.
Cisco have some very good design docs that are freely available on their website. Attached is a link to the relevant page. of particular interest to you are the data centre ones which cover the access/distribution/core principles and also a design for an Internet Edge Architecture.
