Is there any formula or software/device that able to give information on the number of existing concurrent sessions that a firewall will have to handle? This is to do proper sizing for customer.
Cisco firewalls don’t enforce a connection count anymore (i.e. PIX) but when it did, I usually calculated 10 times the number of users. Of course there are physical limitations too so it’s still worth looking at this number.
The reason why i post this subject was because, PIX really have huge numbers on that and was wondering how I can explain to my customer.
